Q: What is 1BitSquared?

A: We are an electronics development, consulting and manufacturing company. We develop embedded development tools with the focus on Open-Source software and toolchains. 

 

Q: I have a EU business VAT ID and would like to order VAT Tax exempt. What do I need to do?

A: If you are purchasing for a business, and your company is located in a EU country that is not Germany. Do the following to place a Tax Exempt order:

Make an account in the online store. Make sure to add your business billing address to the account. And make sure the billing address you provided matches your VAT ID registration information.

• Send us a message through the contact form using the same email address you used to create the account. In that message include your VAT ID and request that we verify your data to set your store account as VAT exempt.

• We will then check that your VAT ID matches the billing address, add the VAT ID to your account information and set your store account as TAX exempt. We will send you an email informing you that your request has been processed.

• You now should be able to place an order in our online store using the previously created account and you will not be charged VAT during checkout. And your VAT ID will be included on your Invoice. You receive your printed out invoice inside your package. If you would like to receive an electronic copy of your invoice please contact us after placing your purchase.

Remember, Tax exempt purchases are only available to business customers in EU countries except Germany.

 

Q: How soon can I expect to hear from you once I have sent out my message?

A: We make every effort to respond as promptly as possible, expect a response from our team within 48 hours of message arrival.

 

Q: When will my order ship?

A: We aim to process orders in one to two days of the purchase date, although at busy times we may take up to one working week (5 days).

 

Q: What is the cut off time for same day shipping?

A: To ensure that your order ships on the same day of purchase, the order must be placed before noon. Additionally, please add a note indicating that your order needs to go out on the same day of purchase. This only applies to FedEx shipping orders.

 

Q: What are my shipping options?

A: We offer DHL for domestic shipping within Europe.
